Care Bears, Furby and Littlest Pet Shop offer several ways to revisit a favorite toy. Start by identifying the generation you remember. A familiar character or brand name can appear on both older toys and later releases.

Care Bears: Identify the Exact Plush or Figure

Check the maker, size, character and label details. Ask for photos of tags, seams, the belly badge and any stains, fading or repairs. A missing tag can make identification harder; appearance alone should not establish a release year.

Decide whether you want a childhood-era example or a newer interpretation. Compare matching versions rather than treating every toy with the same character name as equivalent.

Furby: Separate Appearance From Working Condition

Hasbro identifies 1998 as Furby’s original launch year. Later generations have different designs and features, so confirm the specific model. See Hasbro’s Furby announcement for that history.

For a used electronic toy, ask which functions were tested and when. Request a battery-compartment photo and details of corrosion, missing battery covers or intermittent operation. “Untested” does not mean working. Sealed packaging also does not demonstrate that aged electronics function.

Littlest Pet Shop: Match the Generation and Set

The official LPS FAQ traces the brand to 1992 and describes its later relaunch. Match the animal, mold, markings and accessories with the specific generation you want.

For playsets, ask for all included pieces to be photographed together. A complete-looking display may still lack small accessories. Newer releases can be enjoyable collectibles too; choose the style you like.

Before You Order

  • Confirm maker, release, size and identifying marks.
  • Read item-specific condition notes and review every photo.
  • Ask about replacement parts, repairs and testing.
  • Compare similar completed sales, including shipping.
  • Check the seller’s return terms before buying.

This guide does not claim current market growth or predict resale returns. Social-media attention is not a substitute for identifying the item and assessing its condition.

Browse the Current Catalog

Browse current toy listings. Availability changes; examples in this guide are not a promise that a particular item is in stock. Check each listing for its exact contents and condition.

Explore related listings on eBay. These are external marketplace listings; review each seller’s item details and terms.
